Hi all. Well recently I met someone from Beckah Shae’s facebook page. Remember Beckah Shae is the Christian singer I been talking so highly about all year long lol. Anyways there’s a friend of hers that’s been keeping up with my blogs and has been doing what he could to help encourage and support me and I recently found out hes a fantastic writer and he writes music and blogs just like me. Recently he wrote this blog about what he calls (eyecons in the music industry). I do not want to get to deep in to what he meant by that, because I feel it is his place to share with who he wants to share it with, because it was his blog and his story or his word that GOD gave him to share. But I would like to share one of the things I got out of reading his blog. Part of what his blog was saying is, we should not have idols of any kind. In his blog, he focused on what he called mainstream music and the people in that type of industry. Those of you who get confused by the word “mainstream” that just means, as us church people say (worldly music), or music that is not based and centered around GOD and biblical things. He talked about how people basically (this is my words not his), but basically how, we all can get hypnotize by music and the people singing it, that’s what I got out of what he was saying, but he focused on mainstream music, and again I want to focus on Christian music and bring something out that GOD put on my heart while reading his blog. Do people get hypnotized by mainstream music? yes I think they do, but here’s what may shock you, I not only think that people can get hypnotized by mainstream music and think that the people singing it become our idols, but I also think that happens in the Christian world!!!! I know some of you may not agree and may even get upset by me saying this, but I am sorry its true. For many years as a teen and young adult I volunteered at different churches and youth groups and children’s churches and if you sat down and got to know a lot of these kids, even (church kids), they get so focused on the STAR factor, that they completely forget and sorry but some even don’t care about the GOD factor and that’s so sad to me. Because to me the GOD part is the important part of things. But whats even more sad, is the fact that in the church, we are just as bad at showing these kids that whats important is GOD, not the fancy clothes these singers wear, not the nice jewelry they may have, or the fancy high tech videos and concerts they may do, GOD is what should be the importance here. The bible says we should have no idols besides GOD right? so than why are we teaching these kids to think of christian singers in that way? please don’t get me wrong I’m not saying you cant look up to someone or have a favorite singer, or even have fun with music, I believe you can. As you all know Beckah Shae is my favorite singer and I brag about her often and I love having fun singing to her music, but I do not go as far as to say shes my idol, yes I love her and her music and if she reads this blog I mean no disrespect to her, but she is not my idol, because I only have one man that is my idol, that is my GOD, he is my everything, hes the center of my life, he is my world, he is what makes me, who I am. Part of what makes me love Beckah Shae so much, is she doesn’t represent herself as being this important person, she represents herself as being a Christian, GODLY, woman, singer and servant of the LORD and that’s how it should be. I think people in the church need to go back to focusing on the love of CHRIST and servant-hood, instead of whats popular and “cool”, we are starting to be no different than the world by acting, the way we act at times. For instance a few years ago I was talking to some teens and they were all excited, because they were getting ready to go to a worship competition, a WORSHIP COMPETITION are you kidding me?? I have no problem with music competitions, but when you go as far as worship competitions, I’m sorry but your headed in to some very uncharted territory. Please don’t take this all as being judgmental, but I cant help but have a problem with stuff like that. Because when did WORSHIPING our LORD become a competitive thing? it should not be, it just shouldn’t, I’m sorry. WORSHIPING OUR LORD should be a privilege, a personal, private, intimate, special, spiritual, loving and holy time. We need to stop trying to be “cool” and be who GOD has made us to be, or who he wants us to be. I don’t get the importance of being cool?? I can see why kids may get sucked in to thinking that’s important, but why do adults? and worse why do churches? we are the body of CHRIST, who cares about being cool? We have everything in our reach people, its right at our feet, we just don’t see it. We have the creator of everything, the ruler, the king of kings, the LORD of LORDS right beside us. Hes right there willing to give and do anything for us. The things of the world, earthly things, have nothing over us. We are the body of CHRIST, which is why I picked the song from casting crowns called if we are the body, as my video to write about, please watch the video above and listen to the words of that song and you may get a better understanding as to where I’m going with this. We are the body of CHRIST which means we can do all things, we can achieve all things. If there are things in your life your reaching for, but yet you cant reach, than you need to ask yourself, why that is? because again we are the body of CHRIST and we have the mind of CHRIST, so if there are things that you want to happen in your life and yet nothings happening, do something about that than, Beckah Shae’s husband posted something on his facebook page that really stood out to me, he said, to get something you’ve never had, you have to do something you’ve never done. Amen that really spoke to me, because that is exactly what the LORDS been showing me this year. Thank you Jack shocklee, or as I think most people on facebook call you shoc, for saying that. Hi all. I want to switch things up a bit. The next few weeks I am going to be sharing things I feel GODS been laying on my heart about certain video’s on youtube I been finding. The first video I planned on writing about, was a Beckah Shae video, about a song she wrote and sings called forgiveness and I still do plan on posting something in the future about that song, because I have such strong feelings in my heart about that song and the LORD has taught me so much while listening to that song. Last night after watching a new video Beckah Shae posted, I felt the holy spirit/the LORD, speaking to me and I felt that he still wanted me to speak about a song/video of hers (Beckah Shae). When I first watched this video, I felt the holy spirit so strong that I actually started crying. I am begging that you all please watch this video and please pay extra attention to the last few minutes of it, pay attention to the part where the picture and music changes. I want you all to pay attention to how she starts crying out to the LORD through her singing. The past few weeks on my blog, I have been trying to explain to you all and show you all that there is a difference between loving the LORD and being in love with the LORD and there is a difference between knowing of the LORD and than truly knowing the LORD, there is a difference between having a friendship with the LORD and having a intimate relationship with the LORD. In this video, if you truly listen and allow your self to let go and just feel the spirit of the LORD in the song, you will start to understand what I mean. When I was listening to her sing and kept hearing her say the different names of JESUS, I felt the LORD say do research about my name and when I first heard him say that I didn’t really understand what he meant or where he was leading with that, but I obeyed and did my research and I just want to say, wow wow wow. First I did a search through the web and than did a search through the bible about how many different biblical names GOD has, can you believe I found 104 names!!! and that’s not even all of them, that’s just the ones I found. Than I did a study/search about the meaning behind some of them. Listed below is all the names that I found and below that is a list of my own that I made up of what the name JESUS means to me . I am adding both these lists because even though most of us know a lot of this information, especially us who are raised in the Christian church, even though we know most of it, there is just something about reading the names and seeing them with your own two eyes. I know for myself when I started reading and writing a lot of this I got so excited, my spirit was so excited that if I could of jumped up and down I would have. There is just something about seeing all the different names of the LORD, there is just something about the name of JESUS that instantly like I said if you truly knew JESUS and knew what he’s about and what his names mean, than it will truly bring joy to not only your spirit, but also your life. That’s why I made that second list cause I got so uplifted that I just started calling out all this stuff below. I also am adding the lyrics to the song Beckah Shae is singing in the beginning of this video. I want you all to read these lyrics and truly sing it out to JESUS, if you are new to this and never fully worshiped in this way, please just trust not only me but also JESUS and try it just once. I promise if you do try it and do allow your self to fully step out in faith and fully open your heart and spirit, you will feel energized and on top of the world, you will feel like a completely new person. Worshiping GOD in this way, like Beckah Shae was doing in the video is a fantastic thing. I promise you, it is one of the most joyful, loving, emotional, graceful, powerful experiences you will ever have. So come on and open your heart and spirit as this song plays and lets truly rejoice and worship our LORD JESUS CHRIST. He died for our sins, he gave his all so we could live and be set free. So even if your feeling self conscience about doing this and feeling scared about what others are going to think if you do this, don’t worry about what they think. Its not important what they think, all that’s important is what GOD thinks. So please as this song plays sing along and cry out to GOD raise your voice and hands to our LORD, sing, cry, laugh, shout, jump up and down, do whatever you feel in your heart of hearts you want to do. All I ask is you at least do something!!!! that’s all I got for today.
